The centerpiece of Project Daedalus is the maze itself - a massive structure of concrete walls reaching 200 blocks into the sky, spanning 16,384 blocks in diameter.
Key features of the maze include:
- Moving Sections: Walls and doors with fluid animations that reconfigure the maze
- Different Zones: Areas with unique challenges, puzzles, and rewards
- Hidden Secrets: Easter eggs and secrets that provide lore and rewards
Underground Secrets
Discover hidden bunkers, laboratories, and clues about the true purpose of the maze.
Job & Skill System
Similar to Dungeons & Dragons, players can choose different roles and develop specialized skills:
Runners
Explore the maze, memorize the paths, record your path, and find a way out
Bricknicks
Craft and enhance tools, forge new gadgets, and repair broken tools everyone needs
Med-Jacks
Heal injured players, and experiment with other formulas to enhance Gladers' skills
Slicers
Tend the herds, supply the Cooks and Bricknicks with meat to cook and leather to craft
Cooks
Prepare the food everyone needs, and supply the Med-Jacks with the more exotic ingredients
Baggers
Protect the Gladers from danger, forge weapons, and arm the Gladers when needed
Miners
Gather the raw materials, giving coal to Cooks, redstone to Med-Jacks, iron to Bricknicks
Track-Hoes
Tend to crops, chop trees, and give ingredients to Cooks, Med-Jacks, Bricknicks, and Baggers
